WINNER
SPEEA joined the Machinists District 751 in supporting an
independent analysis of where to build the proposed new Boeing Mid-Market Airplane (NMA). The report, analyzing 41 competitiveness
factors, ranked Washington state as number one. Kansas, where
SPEEA also represents bargaining units, ranked near the top. At a
press conference releasing the report are SPEEA Executive Director
Ray Goforth, SPEEA President Joel Funfar, Machinists District
751 President Jon Holden and Richard Aboulafia, lead author of
the Aerospace Competitive Economics Study by the Teal Group. See
