pumpkin decorating event. Drop by between 10
a.m. and 1 p.m.
The Northwest Membership Activities
Committee will supply a free pumpkin per child,
while supplies last, as well as decorations for the
pumpkins (no carving) and refreshments.

New term for IFPTE
VP on labor board
IFPTE has an at-large vice president seat on the Washington State Labor Council (WSLC) Executive Board. With new terms
starting in January, SPEEA is seeking applicants
for the position.
Eligibility requirements include being a SPEEA,
IFPTE Local 2001 member in good standing
in Washington state.
Deadline to apply - Wednesday, Oct. 31.

The SPEEA Executive Board will review the
applicants and nominate a member to the
WSLC Executive Board, which makes the final
The WSLC Executive Board includes the president, secretary-treasurer and vice presidents,
representing districts across the state, as well as
representatives from constituent groups.
The Board meets quarterly and establishes policies and programs between annual conventions.
WSLC membership includes delegates from 600
union locals and councils representing about
450,000 union members.
