More than 150 members stopped by the Everett SPEEA Hall for a hot dog Aug. 16. Members of the SPEEA Executive
Board were on hand to welcome members. The hot dogs were going fast at lunchtime with members walking over from
nearby buildings to the SPEEA Hall on Airport Way.

Due to increasing Internal Revenue Code (IRC) 417(e) segment rates and slightly higher 2019 mortality tables, pension
commencement benefits payable as a lump sum
in 2019 will likely be less than those paid in
2018 for SPEEA-Boeing contracts.

About the presenter
Steven Lin, a SPEEA member, joined Boeing as
a quality engineer intern on the 787 program.
He transitioned to BCA’s Product Development
organization as a full-time manufacturing engineer, working on various demonstrator projects.
In his current role, Lin benchmarks new technologies, products and manufacturing capabilities
to support Boeing’s long-term business strategy.
