Hot dogs and SPEEA solidarity in Portland
About 150 came to the SPEEA hot dog lunch at Boeing Portland, Aug. 29. SPEEA Oregon Council
Reps Emily Brent-Fulps (also SPEEA Council treasurer) and Ricardo Salve organized the lunch,
which included visibility items and information about SPEEA and how to become more involved.
Several Portland members helped, including Area Reps Benny Lu, Ken Parcher and Andrew
Sherman. Other members helping included Luke Bortnem (in plaid shirt at the grill), James
Bozin, Jason Fender, Thomas Hallquist (in red shirt at grill) and Kyle Murdoch. SPEEA
Treasurer Jimmie Mathis, Northwest Council Chair Tony Hickerson and SPEEA Contract
Administrator Mike Hochberg came from the Puget Sound to meet with the members.
