Decades of SPEEA
history on display
If you want a glimpse of SPEEA’s labor his- tory, dating back to the 1940s, check out a special exhibit at the Washington State Labor
Education and Research Center (LERC). SPEEA
joined Harry Bridges Center for Labor Studies
and Labor Archive of Washington as sponsors of
the history exhibit which will rotate twice a year
(spring and fall) to feature local unions’ history.
Amanda Stone (shown above), museum educator
and exhibit developer, curated the display. You can
see the exhibit at the center located in Building B
of South Seattle College’s Georgetown campus at
6737 Corson Ave. S., Seattle. Learn more about
this community resource at http://georgetown.
